Innovation Leaders

A closed circle for the people who turn ideas into organisational practice.

If you do this work, you probably do it alone. Inside your company you are the one expected to have the answer. Inside your country you keep meeting the same faces.

Across Northern Europe · we meet in Helsinki · in English

Why this matters

It is rarely a shortage of ideas. Innovation stalls in particular places.

28innovation leaders interviewed 10+industries across the Nordics
Stage one

Ideas that are never said out loud.

Stage two

Ideas that get discussed but never take shape.

Stage three

Pilots that work, and never become ordinary practice.

People notice the same barriers, but rarely have somewhere to compare what actually worked. So companies restart the same conversation instead of building memory.

What the circle is

A room where you can put a real difficulty in front of people working under the same conditions.

01

Peer discussion

We compare how the same challenge shows up across companies and across countries.

02

Research first

We bring findings from our ongoing interviews before they are published anywhere.

03

Real cases

One member puts an unfinished problem on the table, and we work on it together.

04

Innovation memory

Each session leaves a short written record, so a session you missed is still readable a year later.

Small circle · confidential · unfinished problems welcome

More than a monthly meeting

We also go out.

Open meetings

Announced in advance, with guests, partner organisations and the companies hosting us. If you are curious about the circle, this is where you start. Upcoming meetings →

Inside companies

A member opens the doors and shows what their organisation is actually doing, not the version that goes into a conference talk.

Other countries

Once or twice a year we travel to meet a community somewhere quite different and compare notes with people working under other conditions.

The floor

Every member takes it at some point, with their own question rather than a polished talk. And some of it is simply dinner.

Who it is for

We look at what you do, not at what your title says.

Members

  • People leading innovation, transformation, strategy, digital and new business.
  • People in HR, change and business development who work at the same junction, where ideas meet operations.
  • People who can talk about real difficulties in confidence.

What you get

  • People who work under the same conditions as you, across several countries rather than one.
  • Findings from our ongoing interviews, before they are published.
  • A short written brief after each session, for your own internal discussions.
  • The floor, when you want it, for a question of your own.
  • Everything the circle has worked out so far, including the sessions you missed.
In each closed session

A format that turns a finding into a focused conversation.

The member case is the centre of the session. Presentations are not.

Monthly, with a pause over the summer

Confidentiality

Closed sessions run under the Chatham House Rule.

You are free to use what you hear, but not to reveal who said it or where they work. The same holds for everyone else in the room.

We add two things to it. We do not record sessions. And if you are quoted, or could be recognised from the detail, you see the passage before it goes anywhere and can ask us to change or remove it.

Next step

The founding circle is forming now.

Most people come in through an open meeting. It is the easiest way to see the room before deciding anything. Beyond that the circle runs by invitation, and you are welcome to ask for a seat.

We will talk briefly first. Not an interview, just a way to work out whether the circle is useful to you and whether you have something to bring. The circle stays small, so a seat does not always follow at once. If the timing is wrong, we will say so and come back to you.
